snapshot

This weekend was a breath of fresh air.. but now I'm getting hit over the head with the reality that teachers are dumb and give tons of homework over breaks. Everything I did was like a snapshot of summer. Friday was boring - which happens a lot in summer. Saturday I listened to the waves all morning and into the afternoon with a little Jack Johnson in there too. And of course, what's summer without sunburn? In the afternoon I played frisbee, roasted marshmallows over an open fire, watched the stars and lightning fighting over the same sky. I got to laze on Sunday afternoon, and then slept over with friends that night. In the morning we frolicked in the basin, drank tea, and played our instruments for no reason. My family did our Memorial Day traditions of eating bar-b-q outside and having a croquet tournament. I went to a sweet 16, and swam in a saltwater pool - so incredibly smart by the way! Tomorrow... I have school.
